0 votes, 0.00 avg. rating (0% score)

One of the most popular supercar hires in the UK – the Range Rover – has been nominated for the up and coming 2013 European Car of the Year.

The Range Rover Sport is one of 30 cars to have been selected as a contender for this prestigious award, established in 1964 by a team of car magazines.

We at Supercar Experiences are not surprised to see this stunning SUV in the list of nominees. The model is one of our most popular Range Rover rentals and is currently featuring in an exciting deal whereby you can hire the brand new top of the range Range Rover Sport for just £495 for four days.

The winner of the coveted award will be announced on the eve of the Geneva motor show on March 3 2014. The voting jury consists of motoring journalists from publications throughout Europe. Eligible cars are all new models released in the twelve months prior to the award, with this year’s provisional list of candidates including nine Japanese cars, six German, five French, three US, two each from the UK and Korea, and one each from Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic.

The winner of the European Car of the Year 2013 was the seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf which finished ahead of the Toyota 86/Subaru BR-Z and the Volvo V40.

The Golf is only the second car to win the European Car of the Year Award twice. The Renault Clio won in 1991 and 2006, while the Mk3 Golf won the award in 1992. However, all seven generations of the Golf have appeared in the top three results for the award in the year of their
