Spoil Alert: Acura RLX 2014
0 votes, 0.00 avg. rating (0% score)

Acura makes good cars yes, they are almost the perfect affordable luxury to own. The history with this model is not the greatest with some poor reviews. But this time they going to make it big, and compete with BMW and other luxury car manufacturers. They aimed for something new, something more then a nice Honda. They aimed to create a car that will be in the same line of the BMW 7 Series and A8, but I do not believe they will reach that. They will probably be in the same line of the Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series. Michael Accavitti said, “This is the best car Acura has ever produced,” I believe this is a true story. They where thinking about everything to make the new RLX the “Thing” to talk about.

The scary part is that the Acura RL was the worst selling car of 2011, so what will be the future with the RLX? time will tell. 2012 New York Auto Show first showed the 2014 concept version of the RLX. Instantly you will see that it looks much better then the RL that come before it.

We like the two-by-five LED headlamp cluster in full shimmer, makes the look sharp and unique. All this made to make sure you don’t notice that under all the nice dress, there is a front wheel drive Honda. Is that a bad thing? I don’t think so. I want the Honda reliability in my Acura! It measures 196.1 inches, same as the old RL. The wheelbase has been increased by two inches.

“Jewel-Eye LED headlamps” are now in all the models, 18″ alloy’s as the standard as well. The 2014 Acura RLX will officially go on sale on March 15, 2013, with a price tag of $48,450. The more packed with options will reach the $62,000 and up. For that price you can grab a nice beamer, but previus Acura owners will know what to choose. When you grab BMW you do more then just that, you take an opinion.

Acura will soon show up with SH-AWD version of the RLX. A 370HP package that will give a nice twitch to the RLX. A little to early to have any expectations yet though.
