Chrysler is recalling over 919,000 Jeeps Grand Cherokees 2002 – 2004 and also the Jeep Liberty 2002 – 2003. My own Jeep actually already have the airbag light on, and they said on the letter that it might explode while am driving the car. At least I am revealed to know that a few seconds before it happen, the airbag light will blink (big LOL on this one) .

Parts did not arrive yet to Los Angeles so we still need to wait. I also been told that they will not provide a replacement car while they are fixing the issue. Also being told that it will take about 2 – 3 hours to fix it and if you live 10 miles or less away from the dealership, they will pickup and drop the car for me. If I was a few years younger I would have thinking about what would happen if the airbag will deploy (nobody get hurts!) , and I crash the 2002 jeep, and get the new ones with the new design. That would have been cool! but no, I do not want to get surprised by this.

What should I do? Contact your local Chrysler / Jeep dealership and tell them about the letter. Also wait for the second letter indicating that the replacement part is in stock. I cannot recommend you driving your car if your airbag light is on. If it is blinking or illuminating it is time to run away. They told me to keep driving it and that only a few cases happen that the airbag actually got deployed (215 cases of airbag deployed while driving 81 minor injuries and a whole lot of lawsuits!).

f side airbag curtains (Grand Cherokee only). Inadvertent deployment of the
ll airbags may increase the risk of injury and the possibility of a vehicle crash.
