Aston Martin has officially released details of its V12 Vantage Roadster following the leak that occurred last week. Unlike its the V12 Vantage Coupe, the 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster will be limited to just a select few markets.
The car’s exterior has been upgraded with a modified rear damper set-up, 19-inch wheels sport a unique finish, hood vents, side mirrors, rear light surrounds, mirrors and rear lamp infill.
“The V12 Vantage models are, first and foremost, driver’s cars – inviting and fully rewarding the driver’s full involvement,” said Aston Martin’s CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, “The addition to our range of this exceptional new Roadster allows the driver and passenger to experience full ‘sensory overload’ thanks to its outstanding performance.”
Under the hood, the 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster using naturally aspirated 5.9-litre V12 engine that generates 517PS (380kW/510hp) at 6,500 rpm and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of maximum torque at 5,750 rpm. It allows the model to thrust from standstill to 100kph (62mph) in 4.5 seconds and the car can reach a top speed of 190mph.
The 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster will only be sold in the UK with pricing confirmed to start at £150,000 and the car is said to begin production during the fall of 2012.
