After many photo leaks and the moment you’ve all been waiting for, Ferrari has finally officially announced 2013 F12 Berlinetta. It signals the end of the 599 GTB Fiorano and debut on March 6 at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre and Pininfarina, with length 4,618mm shorter than its predecessor, 1,942mm wide and 1,273mm tall. Layout-wise, dashboard and seats have been lowered in the chassis, digital gauges display information speed, water temperature and oil temperature.

The 2013 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta has sleek, with the front end is aggressive and muscular, the new layout of the rear suspension, a fog light made up of LEDs that is directly inspired by the company’s Formula 1 cars.

The features highlights for the F12 Berlinetta construction in designing the an all-new spaceframe chassis and bodyshell which utilises 12 different kinds of alloys. Allowing a 20 percent increase in structural rigidity while reducing weight to just 1525kg (3,362 pounds) that’s 70kg (154 pounds) less than the previous 599.

Weighing in at just 3,335 pounds, the 2013 Ferrari Berlinetta is powered by a 6.3 liter V12 engine, which produces a peak 729 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 508 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to the F1 dual-clutch transmission, with close gear ratios that drives the rear wheels. As promised by the Maranello-based automaker, the 2013 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta can accelerates from 0-100 km/h (62mph) in 3.1 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.5 seconds.

The 2013 F12 Berlinetta also comes with Ferrari’s latest tech including magnetorheological suspension control system (SCM-E), carbon-ceramic brakes (CCM3), a variety of electric aids (E-Diff, ESC, F1-Trac, and high-performance ABS).

Fuel consumption has been reduced despite the increase in power over the 599 GTB, Maranello claims a 30 percent reduction to achieve 15 miles per gallon and emits 350 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
