Mercedes has taken the digital wraps off the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG ahead of its scheduled debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show next month.

With an all-aluminum body reached a weight of 4,299 pounds a significant reduction in weight being some 170kg. The 2013 SL65 AMG should deliver much better performance, almost all of the multi-link independent rear suspension components made of aluminum.

The 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG equipped face on its front fascia, along with a horizontal bar on the front skirt rendered in high-gloss chrome. It features a new “twin blade radiator grille”, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, LED daytime running light and a lip spoiler.

On the interior, it comes with a bunch of exclusive design features. The list of standard equipment include single or two-tone upholstery in nappa leather, the new sport seats, heated and cooled seats. The highlights including a Bang & Olufsen premium sound, MAGIC VISION CONTROL roof, carbon fiber trim and neck-level heating system.

Under the hood, 6.0-liter biturbo V12 engine sporting new turbochargers with its new AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G TRONIC. That generates 630 PS (463 kW / 621 hp) available from 4,800 to 5,400 rpm up by 18hp, while peak torque is electronically limited to 1000Nm (737 lb-ft). The 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG accelerates from 0-100kph (0-62mph) time of 4.0 seconds with the 200 km/h, until hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250kph (155mph).
