The 2013 Chevrolet Traverse is designed appealing and more athletic appearance, will debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show next week.
“The new Traverse is a family vehicle without compromise,” said Chris Perry, vice president, Chevrolet Global Marketing and Strategy. “It is more capable than many sport-utility vehicles, with as much room as a minivan and better functionality than both. The Traverse is clever, capable and confident and there when you need it most.”
On the exterior, the 2013 Chevrolet Traverse own a new style with a new power dome hood, a Malibu-inspired grille and chrome accents around, revised taillights and a new liftgate.
On the interior, passenger space has improved with three rows of seats, upgraded materials include soft-touch materials, ambient lighting, contrasting stitching, chrome and silver accents, front door uppers and available blue ambient lighting.
“We have injected a stronger presence into the Traverse exterior by focusing on the details,” said Phillip Zak, GM director of exterior design. “The small but important changes give it a more vibrant personality that more closely reflects the lifestyles of the families who rely on the Traverse to get them through their busy lives.”
In addition, with the MyLink infotainment system, a new center stack features a 6.5-inch touch-screen display more comfort and color options.
Under the hood, the 2013 Chevrolet Traverse is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces up to 288 hp (215 kW / 292 PS) and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque with a dual exhaust. Maximum towing capacity is 5,200 pounds and it is connected to an improved six-speed automatic transmission.
