2012 Fiat Abarth 695 Tributo Maserati is inspired by Maserati GranTurismo model and applying some elements of the sports car to the compact hatchback. It was developed by following the same recipe that created the Tributo Ferrari three years ago, but this time prepared with Maserati ingredients.
Abarth said that production of the 695 Tributo Maserati will be restricted to 499 units, the 695 Tributo is designed to “epitomize sheer elegance united to the comfort of a ‘GranTurismo’, but with the handling of a car fit to take to the road every day.”
On the outside, the Fiat Abarth 695 Tributo Maserati is colored in a special-edition paint called Pontevecchio Bordeaux by Maserati. Suspension is upgraded with 17-inch Neptun alloy wheels designed by Maserati, the center caps are adorned with the brand’s scorpion logo. At the back, we also find new hexagonal tailpipes that mimic the styling of Maserati’s exhaust outlets.
Inside the passengers will sit on seats upholstered in Poltrona Frau leather with “695″ stitched into the headrests, while the dashboard is trimmed in a matte-finish. The black leather steering wheel gets tri-color leather inserts, Jaeger-produced instruments, aluminum pedals and a carbon fibre kick plate.
Power for the 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth 695 Tributo Maserati comes from a 1.4 liter Turbo T-Jet 16v gasoline engine with 180 HP (132 kW) via an electrically-operated manual Abarth Competizione gearbox with steering wheel paddles. A noticeable increase of 40 horsepower over the standard Abarth 500C. Stopping power comes from a 305-mm Brembo braking system.
The Fiat did not release any pricing information, and it will at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next month. We’ll continuously updated information, so check back with us for the latest details and photo at Auto Shows.
