Bentley Mulsanne Mulliner Driving Specification is the name will be most noted of the Bentley at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in early March.
“The Mulsanne represents the pinnacle of British motoring with unrivalled luxury and effortless performance,” commented Alasdair Stewart, Bentley’s Member of the Board for Sales and Marketing “Now, the distinctly sporting accent of the new Mulliner Driving Specification provides an even greater degree of driving enjoyment without compromising the Mulsanne’s legendary comfort and refinement,” he added.
On the outside, there are newly designed 21-inch light aluminum alloy wheels fitted with 265/40 ZR, and a new Sport setting on the Drive Dynamics Control system all add up to enhanced performance. The two-piece wheels are available in both painted and polished finishes as well as with Bentley’s optional self-leveling badges.
Inside the Mulliner, includes a bespoke diamond-quilted perforated leather pattern, indented leather headliner, knurled controls on door handles and air vent controls. Other upgrades include the drilled alloy accelerator and brake pedals and the new Mulliner treadplate plaques applied on the passenger door sills.
But the highlight of the Mulliner Driving Specification interior is a new rear-seat bottle cooler with room for two full-size Champagne bottles.
Under the hood, you’ll find the same the twin-turbocharged 6.75 liter V8 engine is left untouched with its 512 PS (505 bhp / 377 kW) and impressive 1020 Nm (752 lb-ft) of torque. It allows from a 0-60 mph sprint time of 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 184mph (296km/h). Bentley says the new setting provides “enhanced grip, body control and steering accuracy.”
