We can now confirm the news about the Volkswagen company will premiere another new Golf GTI Cabriolet and will officially revealed in Geneva next week. The 2013 Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet will launch in Europe in the second half of the year, and pricing set to be announced closer to the launch date.
On the exterior, include the rear air diffuser, honeycomb treatment for the front lower fascia, smoked LED taillights, bespoke 19-inch wheels and dual chrome exhaust pipes.
On the inside, the 2013 Volkswagen GTI Cabriolet equipped with style tradition as the seats are upholstered in Jacara tartan cloth with leather being optional, leather steering wheel, red stitching on the steering wheel and the shift boot create a sporty atmosphere.
Under the hood, the Golf GTI Cabriolet will be powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, rated at 210 horsepower (155 kW / 208 hp) and 206 lb-ft of torque (280 Nm) at just 1,700rpm. A six-speed manual transmission comes standard, and optional six-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox.
Although the two version use the same engine but the GTI hatch is capable of accelerating from 0-100kph (0-62mph) in 6.9 seconds, the Golf GTI Cabriolet takes 7.3 seconds to hit 62 miles with a top speed of 147 mph (2 mph lower than the hatchback). A top speed of around 240km/h (149 mph).
