After a low quality image leak, Jaguar has decided to release the first images and details of the new 2013 XF Sportbrake ahead of its scheduled unveiling at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
The 2013 Jaguar XF Sportbrake has design is entirely new from the B-pillars backwards, a new rear end with brand spanking new panels, a cargo area with the total volume grows to 1,675-litres. The dimensions are virtually unchanged compared with the same 1,877mm width and 2,909mm wheelbase.

Customers have two choices about exterior design packages. The Aero Pack (standard on the ‘S’ model) adds a deeper front bumper, side sills and rear valance plus a rear spoiler enhancement. The Black Pack replaces the exterior bright finishes with gloss black and pairs them with similarly finished alloy wheels.
Under the hood, two diesel engines are offered – a 2.2L four-pot and a 3.0L V6, both of which are mated to an eight-speed gearbox and Jaguar’s Intelligent Stop-Start system. The range-topping ‘S’ model offers 275 PS and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm)of torque.
“The XF Sportbrake matches the saloon in both aerodynamics and torsional stiffness,” said Mike Cross, Jaguar’s Chief Engineer. “The use of air suspension has allowed us to create a car that captures the unique Jaguar combination of refinement and outstanding dynamic abilities regardless of its load,” he added.
The 2013 Jaguar XF Sportbrake come fitted as standard with self-leveling air suspension at the rear, which replaces that saloon’s standard coil springs. Standard features include a Dynamics system which continuously monitors the suspension, courtesy of active dampers, and can adjust damping rates accordingly up to 500 times a second.
The 2013 Jaguar XF Sportbrake was launched agent last month and make its auto show debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
