Appreciated by customers, the style of the 2012 Renault Megane is changing slightly, to more modern. With many changes on the interior as features an LED and the range of wheels is completely new.
On the exterior design, LED daytime running lights and restyled wheels. There’s also a new selection of wheels and two fresh color options named “Majorelle Blue” and “Pearlescent White”.
On the interior, the 2012 Renault Megane is enriched by new upholstery with a pack leather / alcantara two-tone available in three harmonies. Meanwhile the GT and GT-Line versions receive “boomerang” LED lights, red upholstery stitching, a sports steering wheel, a dashboard trim strip and Renault-Sport-badged doorsill guards.
Under the hood, three new engines are available. First, the Energy TCe 115 replaces the previous model’s 1.6-liter naturally aspirated unit. Produces 115 PS (85 kW / 113 hp) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque. It has a combined fuel consumption of 5.3 L/100km (53.2 mpg UK) and CO2 emissions of 119 g/km.
The new dCi 110 diesel engine Energy: engine of the best-selling Megane, with the resulting CO2 emissions and consumption that pass under the threshold of 95 g and 3.8 l / 100 km on the combined cycle, down nearly 12%, which is positioned in the top 3 Megane in its segment in terms of energy efficiency. Performance is maintained with a torque increase (260 Nm, 20 Nm more, available from 1 750 r / min).
Last, the 1.6-liter Energy dCi 130 the Diesel’s most powerful market offers, develops 110 PS (81 kW / 108 hp) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. It’s shows a consumption of 4.0 l / 100 km on the combined cycle, down 20% from the previous 1.9 dCi 130 engine, and emissions of just 104 g CO2 / km.
Renault said the Megane Collection 2012 would go on sale from March in Europe and around the world in 2012 (Turkey, Israel, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, South Africa, Russia and Argentina, among others).
