2012 Volvo C70 Inscription has been debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16th. The Inscription package is a C70 hardtop convertible with both aesthetic and power upgrades, only for the North American market with price $39,950.
Only three colors are available on the 2012 Volvo C70 Inscription, Black Stone, Black Sapphire, or Ice White, while the interior trim only comes in the choice of either Off Black or Calcite.
The new 2012 Volvo C70 Inscription Edition combines bespoke exterior details such as the painted grille, LED daytime running lights surrounded by contrasting chrome, with unique interior features, including Sovereign Hide upholstery, a leather-covered dashboard and aluminium trim. There’s also a rear spoiler and exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine which has been outfitted with a Polestar ECU. Thanks to this change, the engine develops 250 hp (186 kW / 253 PS) and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque – an increase of 23 hp (17 kW / 23 PS) and 37 lb-ft (50 Nm).
Company said production of the new 2012 Volvo C70 Inscription will be limited to 2,000 units worldwide and only 500 units will be available in the United States.
