At the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show
later this month, 2013 Ford Flex seven-seat will be announced for the 2013 model’s year. The 2013 Ford Flex comes with the new MyFord Touch, rear inflatable seat belts, collision-avoidance technologies, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, cooled seats, power-fold mirrors and an optional new Appearance Package.
Under the hood, the 2013 Ford Flex is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter V-6 that now develops 285 horsepower, now featuring about 20 ponies more than the earlier iteration. Both power plants are mated to a six-speed SelectShift Automatic transmission a sequential gearbox with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The engine is also 1 mpg more fuel efficient than the one it replaces, with projected fuel economy of 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.
For the 2013 model year, the Ford Flex also removed its blue oval logo from the front, while the new front bumper has been tucked in and now features a sleeker lower air vent design. Company has added a new otpiotnal Appearance Package for the Limited and SEL models, which includes two-tone roof and mirrors, 20-inch machined alloy wheels, leather seats, unique door trim panels and numerous other interior upgrades.
