was accidentally published by mistake on Cadillac.com few days before to 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. The latest model from America’s second oldest brand has shown the styling of the XTS is a clear evolution of Cadillac’s ‘Arts & Science’ design formula.
“The Cadillac XTS represents a new formula for luxury, driven by advanced technology,” said Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac Marketing. “XTS showcases the evolution of our Art & Science philosophy, merging the best technical ideas with the continued refinement of Cadillac design.”
On the interior, the midsize luxury 2013 Cadillac XTS offers more interior room especially in the rear seat, where it has 40 inches of rear legroom. Trunk space is also quite spacious with 18 cubic-feet of space, with the main feature is Cadillac’s new CUE infotainment system. With in-cabin electronics, Cadillac is introducing new short and long range radar systems with the XTS and finally the Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension system and a color head-up display.
Under the hood, the 2013 Cadillac XTS is powered by GM’s 3.6-liter V6 engine with direct-injection technology that produces 300-horsepower at 6,800rpm and 264 lb-ft (358Nm) of peak torque at a rather high 5,300rpm. Mated with a Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic transmission with tap-shift control.
Production of the 2013 Cadillac XTS will begin production in Oshawa, Ontario in spring and it’ goes on sale in North America in 2012.
