The U.S. market will soon get to enjoy one car the sporty new 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth, which makes its debut next month at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 18 before hitting local showrooms early in the new year.
In an official release, the company says the car is, ”designed for track-day enthusiasts and driving-purists who want the ultimate high-performance small car with the pedigree of an exclusive Italian exotic.” Expect the North American-spec 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth to be similar to the European model which comes with a 140 PS (138 bhp / 103 kW ) 1.4-liter turbocharged engine with 206 Nm (152 lb-ft) of torque.
Chrysler did not disclose any information on performance figures. What we do know is that it will come with track-tuned suspension and brakes, a sporty bodykit, and an aggressive rear diffuser with integrated exhaust tips.
