Models subcompact the 2012 Audi A1 Sportback five-door has been finally got around to releasing official data along with more than sixty pictures and the first video of it’s. The car is the same length as its three-door sibling, but is 6 mm wider and several millimetres taller, at 1.75 metres and 1.42 metres respectively, and as such offers more space in the rear seats.
New features include xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights, a high-beam assistant, a light and rain sensor, panoramic sunroof, the convenience key, the alarm system, two different parking system versions and cruise control. As for wheel choices, it starts from 15-inches right up to optional 18-inch alloys from quattro, with a new 17-inch seven-spoke design exclusive to the Sportback
The 2012 Audi A1 Sportback five-door will come with a choice of six engines – three petrols and three diesels. Things start off with the 1.2 TFSI unit that produces 86 PS (63 kW / 85 hp) and there are two 1.4 liter TFSI units – 122 PS (90 kW / 121 hp) and 185 PS (136 kW / 183 hp). On the diesel side is the 1.6 liter TDI with either 90 PS (66 kW / 89 hp) or 105 PS (77 kW / 104 hp). The A1 Sportback will also later get Audi’s 2.0 liter TDI with 143 PS (105 kW / 141 hp). Audi will offer the seven-speed S tronic gearbox on some variants and it comes standard with the range-topping 1.4 TFSI with 185 PS.
Aside from a variety of interior trim choices, the car will come with a choice of 12 colors, including the new Samoa Orange, seen in the photos here, which is exclusive to the 2012 Audi A1 Sportback. The new 2012 Audi A1 Sportback will reach European showrooms next spring in the European market.
