Official information from BMW brand will unveil the new 2012 BMW 3-Series this week, on October 14th 2011 at the BMW plant in Munich. To celebrate its world unveiling, BMW plans to engage fans around the world and we applaud their initiative to broadcast by Livestream on Facebook.
The upcoming generation of the 3-Series will be offered in five choices for gasoline engines, with the 316i (134 horsepower), the 320i (181 HP), 325i (218 HP, 328i (242 HP – 2.0 liters inline four-cylinder twinpower turbo), 335i (302 HP, 3.0 liters, six-cylinder twinpower turbo).
An extensive engine lineup is expected and a hybrid could be introduced with a turbocharged 3.0-liter petrol engine and a 54 PS (40 kW / 54 hp) electric motor. The new 2012 BMW 3-Series range is set to go on sale during the second half of next year, while the new ActiveHybrid 3 variant will likely join the market sometime after the initial model launch, possibly early in 2013.
